Traditionally, calibrating a conductivity sensor requires dismounting it from the production line and performing the calibration with a standard solution - either at-line or in a calibration laboratory. 

This approach comes with several disadvantages: 

  • It interrupts production 
  • It introduces additional uncertainty and operational risks
  • It increases the risk of contaminating the production line

Insacal Conductivity Solution

When calibrating conductivity, the calibration method must reflect how the equipment is used on site. In some cases, the calibration setup must be an exact replica of the field installation; if this is not possible, the sensor must be calibrated or verified in a closed loop.

Traceable Measurement Principle

Insacal Conductivity Meter operates by direct comparison between the unit under test (UUT) and a high-accuracy reference cell, calibrated against primary standards from Danish Fundamental Metrology (DFM). This provides full traceability and very low measurement uncertainty.
This direct comparison ensures traceble, repeatable results under real operating conditions.
